Project Life Cycle Implementation

We deliver cradle-to-grave solutions that span the spectrum of the life cycle implementation space. We conduct project planning, requirements and design analysis, development and implementation, and upgrades and enhancements. We empower our clients to reach optimized business practices, reduced costs, and increased efficiencies.

Database Administration

We install, configure, and upgrade Oracle/SQL server software and related products. We monitor database security and create and maintain users and roles, in addition to conducting trouble shooting activities and delivering end-user assistance. We are proficient in the restructuring and repair of defective code and in conducting test and evaluation procedures that reduce data redundancy. We adhere to the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation (DIACAP), and Information Assurance and Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) policies. We work collaboratively with SAs to address settings and tuning system parameters and to install COTS third-party DBA tools. We conduct daily routine maintenance, security and user requests, backing up of data, indexing, and server maintenance.

Infrastructure and Communications

We maintain the configuration of network infrastructure devices such as routers, servers, and switches. We use SolarWinds Orion for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and for 24/7 paging and performance monitoring of network infrastructure devices (through which we provide a 99.9% up-time network experience). We implement SNMP v3 and Port Based Network Access Control (user security) using 802.1x. For this customer, we maintain a track record of reduced downtime (from 3 days to under 1 hour) using VMware Snapshot capability for mission critical applications and servers.

Geographic Information Services (GIS)

We provide Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and cable locator support that details the identification and location of all underground communications infrastructure in order to prevent cable damage during excavations. We update and maintain records and maps and work off of dig permits to record conduit locations and communicate pertinent information to excavation personnel and other appropriate authorities, all the while liaising closely with GIS Draftsmen in order to ensure optimal safety.

IT Support Services

We develop and implement on- and off-site centers for answering and logging calls, resolving ticket requests, and addressing concerns related to Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and other software. We develop mission critical planning, task management, and maintenance of computer systems. We provide server administration, desktop and help desk support, e-mail and enterprise messaging, web support, and programming services.

Technical Writing

We design, develop, maintain, and correct Internet and Intranet web page code. We conduct editorial reviews regarding the modification of document diction and its respective formatting to ensure an intelligible, compliant user interface.

Application Programming

We provide solutions in support of functional requirements by implementing and maintaining Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), .NET, SQL platforms and the commercial mainframe environment. J2EE applications are implemented using a three-tier architecture that includes Apache and ISS web servers that support various COTS application servers and Oracle and SQL database servers all operating on Unix or Windows platforms. The application team applies industry Business Best Practices (BBPs) to troubleshooting, documentation, application administration, reporting, and all related tasks within the software development lifecycle process.
