Specific Responsibilities and Results:
· Maintain a professional manner at all times and need to have a strong personality, and be confidant in their ability and willingness to engage technicians and hold accountable to build standards.
· Follow all documented procedures and work instructions including but not limited to ISO-9001, customer specific requirements, and all UBT related processes
· Perform inspection of printed circuit board assemblies and wiring harness according to IPC/J-STD criteria
· Work from blueprints, specifications, work orders, and verbal instructions from supervisor
· Perform final inspection of completed parts (includes dimensional, visual and functional testing) and review rejected parts and inspect in-coming material and verify specifications
· Provide in-process inspection daily and note trends. Assist other technicians to rectify deviations. Suggest changes to improve quality
· Selection of proper tools for inspection methods such as gage pins, micrometers, thread gages, height gage, etc.
· Clearly and accurately document the results of inspections on materials, products and processes per procedures and instructions
· Notify the Production and Quality Supervisors of any failure to meet specifications of materials, products, or processes
· Assist and coordinate containment of suspect components and / or finished goods
· File and maintain records of inspections, audits and retains
· Maintain a neat and orderly work environment as well as complying with 5S guidelines
· Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
· Perform various tasks on assigned quality projects
Education/Experience
· Requires H.S. Diploma. Some college or ASQC training is desirable.
· Minimum 2+ years Quality Inspection experience is required.
· Familiarity with Electromechanical Assembly and Printed Circuit Board Industry Standards (e.g., J-STD-001, IPC-610, IPC-620, and ESD standards) relating to Quality Inspection is required.
· Experience reading engineering drawings and publications, examination of mechanical and electrical assembly components, and the use of manufacturing equipment/processes is required.
· Experience in the use of inspection hand tools is required.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required, knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
· Familiar with J-STD-001, (Certified preferred).
· ISO/AS9100 knowledge to include Auditing experience is preferred.
· Must be detailed oriented.
· Understanding of Multi-Level BOMs (Bill of Materials), Electronic manufacturing knowledge preferred.
· Able to stand for long periods of time/ Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
· 5+ Years’ experience in Cable Assembly / Electronic Manufacturing environment
· Experience manufacturing cables and Printed Circuit Assemblies for Military / Aerospace industry.
